ABOUT
Our Story book presentation based off of Mufaro's Beautiful Daughts by native Brooklyn, NY author; John Steptoe. We did this in the summer of 2009 durring our of first 3 week long summer intesives. Our students from AF-ENY Elementary Charter worked hard and diligently on dancing, acting, remembering thier lines plus doing voice over recordings of their lines all in preperation for our show. AF-ENY Elementary is one of our longest running partners since 2006.

Began as an established business in 2007 and is now an incorporated business.
Centered in the Art & Science of Djembe Drumming/Percussion music, The HAND offers it's services in cultural arts enrichment using traditional and contempoary African music & dance themes as well as artistic expression through dramatic theater, as tools to foster social development, instill self confidence, self-awareness and accountablity to the family, community & nation.
As a registered NYC-D.O.E. VENDOR, TheHAND™ provides Cultural Arts Enrichment services for both In-School & After School Enrichment Programs for young people through workshops, residences & collaborations. With a culminating performance built into every partnership with your school; this is often the highlight and always a joyous occasion meant to cap off the workshop along with the arts/project coordinator(s), school principals, and faculty members.
